The Need for First Aid Training in Brisbane
All business owners and managers are required by law to adhere to occupational health and safety regulations. These determine, among other things, that businesses must have sufficient employees who have received recognised workplace first aid training in Brisbane and that their knowledge is current. In addition to workers, many other people will benefit from a degree of first aid knowledge or should have that knowledge because of the activities they undertake. These people include:
- those involved in outdoor activities, such as climbing, diving and caving, where accidents are likely to occur
- instructors, leaders and guides who are responsible for anyone in their care when following specific pursuits
- people living or working in remote or isolated locations where medical assistance may not be readily available
- anyone who wants to be able to help when emergencies occur.
A First Aid Training Course in Brisbane that Meets Your Needs
Because of the varied needs of individuals and businesses, we can provide first aid training in Brisbane that exactly meets those needs. Each course can be assessed and customised for individual businesses or sites to reflect their particular challenges and to provide employees with the relevant knowledge and skills they need to meet those challenges. Similarly, we can provide first aid Brisbane courses that are designed for particular activities as well as for everyday life.
Apart from customisation, we have specific courses that are available for varying levels of need. These include:
- basic first aid that covers a broad range of topics for workers and members of the public so they can provide first aid response for a casualty and manage emergency situations in different settings
- advanced first aid that is suitable for workers who are appointed as first aiders and so need a range of skills
- the provision of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) so people can recognise when someone is not breathing and sustain life until help arrives
- responding to life-threatening emergencies by controlling bleeding, performing CPR and managing other situations.
