Diamond Protection Training RTO No. 32273 provides nationally accredited training in safety, first aid, firefighting and rescue. Training can be conducted on your site or at one of our training facilities.

HLTAID015 – Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely perform advanced resuscitation techniques. Learners will understand how to Respond to an emergency situation, perform advanced resuscitation, communicate details of the incident, Evaluate
the incident and own performance. The training will include sufficient time to allow learners to practice their advanced resuscitation techniques prior to their assessment.
SUBJECTS
Perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation with and without bag-valve-mask ventilation
▪Responded appropriately in the event of regurgitation or vomiting
▪ Managed the unconscious breathing casualty
▪ Demonstration of a rotation of operators with minimal interruptions to compressions
▪ Followed the prompts of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
▪ Responded to at least three simulated first aid scenario’s
▪ Demonstrated safe manual handling techniques
▪ Clearing the airway using a suction device
▪ post-incident debrief and evaluation
▪ provided an accurate verbal and written report of the incident
▪ Selected and inserted an oropharyngeal airway adjunct
▪ Administered oxygen to an unconscious /conscious casualty, including:
▪ selected and prepared correct oxygen equipment
▪ administered oxygen safely at correct flow rate
▪ monitored and coordinated maintenance of resuscitation equipment
▪ located and interpreted workplace policies and procedures

Start – 0730 – Finish – 1700 (extra time may be added for reassessment of students if required)

WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY
A non-refundable fee will be charged when attendance at a program is transferred and / or cancelled less than three working days before the program commences. No refund will be provided for non-attendance at a program without notice. Publicly available programs may be cancelled by Diamond when minimum participant numbers are not reached. Diamond will notify participants by telephone or email no later than three working days before the program is due to commence – a full refund will be given.
